Jennifer Reid
"Jennifer Reid is a Canadian visual artist from Victoria, British Columbia, currently living in Ottawa, Ontario. Whether her paintings be watercolour or acrylic, fanciful or serious, the vividness of her colors and her unusual focus come together in pieces that are guaranteed to make you smile or stand back to ponder and admire. A very versatile artist, Jennifer likes to work with most media and is especially happy to venture into new territory when she discovers a form not tried before. Though for the most part her art results from exploration and self-education, Jennifer has formal training in fine art, graphic art, and fashion design. In addition to her paintings, Jennifer’s body of work includes art boxes, sculptures, pottery, and pencil drawings. Jennifer participates in several art shows each year in Ottawa, and her work is currently on display at the Homestead Gallery in Kemptville. Her work, in the form of original art, prints and art card originals, is held in private collections across Canada and the USA, Great Britian, Australia, India and China (Singapore). The popularity of Jennifer's Giggle Greetings™ cards and calendars has grown and recently attracted the attention of professional marketers in the USA.
