Keith and Linda Taylor

Keith started carving in 1984 and is a self-taught carver. Carving songbirds and decoys at first, then in 1981 Linda encouraged him to carve a horse as a Christmas present for their daughter. His interest in carving horses grew and soon led to the carving of full-sized carousel horses. In 2003 Keith and Linda discovered soapstone. It started off with a few small pieces and soon led to the purchasing of different types of stone. Both Keith and Linda carve wood, bark, soapstone (and other types of stone), and offer their carvings for sale. In 2006, Keith applied for and was successful in obtaining his "Métis" citizenship card. He has carved numerous aboriginal style carvings (totems, masks, ect.) and has recently started to paint in acrylics.

LINDA TAYLOR

Linda works in wood and stone. She studied with her husband, Keith, and developed her own unique style in 2006. Her soapstone abstract bears have been well received for their originality and "feel good" qualities. She loves the different colors and uniqueness of eachstone.
