Debbie Gilmer
Debbie Gilmer "Our nature longs deeply for the possibility of expression in what we call work. Our work should be a place where the soul can enjoy becoming visible and present. The rich unknown, reserved and precious within us, can emerge into visible form." ~John O'Donohue (Anam Cara) I am so happy creating pottery that expresses this. Every aspect of my pottery - claybody, shape, glaze, decoration-works together to achieve this. Often I design finishing details that reflect my Celtic roots. My pottery, located on a dairy farm in eastern Ontario, Canada, is dedicated to making quality stoneware that becomes a beautiful part of your everyday life. Each piece is carefully designed for ease of use and durability. The red & buff stoneware claybodies I use are glaze-fired to almost 2200°F in earthy tones of slate blue, moss green, amber, plum, dark brown and lemon cream, all suited for food use, oven and dishwasher.
